As our nation mourns the passing of our 41st President, this card, framed and hanging on a wall in our home is even more precious to me than it has been.
Normally unnoticed in our daily activities, today it took me back to the day I stood in the lobby of the US Embassy in Paris, France about to shake the hand of the soon-to-be President.
The buzz was that He and Barbara had not wanted an official receiving line. None-the-less, a make-shift line had formed and as my turn to say hello drew near, unexpected tears of thankfulness rimmed my eyes. I couldn’t help but remember the many amazing prayers God had answered to move me from a welfare line to a receiving line.
If you feel like giving up – don’t. Keep praying and by faith believing your prayers are being heard. God is on the move even if you can’t see or feel Him right now. Trust Him. Keep praying, keep believing. He will provide the strength you need to bounce back from whatever adversity you’re facing or difficult circumstance you’re in.
How can I be so sure? Because He’s done it for me and I’ve seen Him do it in the lives of countless others.
“So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you an help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
You’re not alone and somebody cares about you.
