Red Rope in A Tangled Mess Isolated on White Background.

Have you ever noticed how necklaces, when left alone in the dark, invariably entwine themselves with all the other pieces of jewelry anywhere near them? Then, when you try to separate them, they transform themselves into necklace Rubik’s Cubes with impossible, knotty solutions!

Were it not for my patient, fly-tying husband who actually seems to enjoy the challenge of righting my jewelry wrongs, I would have two or three nests of permanently jumbled gems residing in my jewelry box. With all the other knots of life that need untying, jewelry knots shouldn’t have to be one of them.

Untying 4 of Life’s Toughest “Fear Knots” with God’s “Fear Nots”

Fear Knot #1.              Fear of natural disasters:

The world warns: The sky really is falling and the earth is melting.

God says: Fear not for I am with you. “Even though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” Psalm 46:2

.

Fear Knot # 2.           Fear of economic collapse:

The world warns: Stockpile silver, gold and food and be ready to protect it all.

God says: Fear not for I am with you. “Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine.” Psalm 33:18-19

Fear Knot # 3.           Fear of sudden violence and terrorists:

The world warns: Don’t go to the movies, the mall or a stadium. Don’t send your children to school. Don’t go to church. Hide and lock the doors.

God says: Fear not for I am with you. “Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes.” Proverbs 3:25

Fear Knot # 4.           Fear of ethnic, education and political correctness:

The world warns: Keep your mouth shut and your beliefs to yourself or you will be next on the chopping block.

God says: Fear not for I am with you. “Fear not the reproach of men, and be not dismayed at their reviling’s. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you.” Isaiah 51:7

Don’t allow Satan, the enemy of God, to use fear to rob you of God’s peace or distort the image of who God is. As Dr. David Jeremiah so beautifully says in his book, What Are You Afraid Of? “No matter what fuels your fear, faith has an answer.” http://bit.ly/1PiDaLP
