With or without kids you can’t help but feel the stress of back-to-school days, and doesn’t watching summer end give us all a mild case of the blues? Shucks, just coping with the addition of yellow school buses in morning traffic and trying to figure out what to do with the expensive ferns you bought for your balcony will dial up your stress-o-meter, never mind the melancholy of putting your polka-dot thongs away.  Of course I’m talking about sandy flip flops. What were you thinking?

Whenever life gets crazy with change, end of summer or not, it’s important to make time for you amid the madness. But keeping life in balance can be hard to do when you’re feeling overwhelmed.  Just thinking about something else to do – even if it’s taking care of you – can become just one more thing too many.

So, to help you remember you without having to rack your brain trying to figure out how to do that, I’m going to do it for you with a sneak-peek from the LOOK AROUND section of my new book: Bounce! Don’t Break… Stories, reflections and words of encouragement through times of change.

Just thinking about 50 fun things to do gives you a lift, doesn’t it?

Imagine how much better you’re going to feel when you pick one and do it!

Don’t let back-to-school, the end of summer or any changing season of life stress you out.

Choose instead to find peace in Christ.  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 That’s the best way to beat the blues of any kind.
