Every day, somewhere in the world, parents and grandparents are waking up, feeling a bit tender-hearted after the wedding of a beloved child, with the lyrics of “Sunrise-Sunset” running through their minds.
That’s been my world this week. So, to all you “left behinds,” the ones standing alone after the bride and groom have waved goodbye, the ones who pick up rose petals and wash the wine glasses, I wish you and yours happy memories along with God’s richest blessings.
And I pray the greatest blessing of all will be the assurance that you ,and all of yours, will never be a part of the ” left behinds” the day Jesus returns for His bride, the church. Ephesians 5:25-27
Have a peaceful and productive week, and if you’re planning a wedding, don’t let the minutiae make you miserable. Keep you focus on Jesus-He loved going to weddings you know! (John 2:1-11) Take a breath and bounce don’t break. Save a seat for Him at the table and watch the miracles of love unfold all around you.
