Springtime is moving time and moving is the 2nd most stressful event in our lives, second only to the death of a spouse! Why? Because everything changes when you move! Your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being are sent into overload. To help with some of that stress, here are Three Great Tips For Moving from the Blooming Where You Are Planted program, along with my prayers for God’s peace, protection and provision if you are relocating.
Three Terrific Tips for Moving from the Blooming Where You’re Planted Program.
Every move has 3 Phases:
Uprooting, Transplanting & Blooming
Uprooting:
When you first begin to think of UPROOTING, keep it close.
Make like a duck:
Smooth and calm on the surface… but paddling like crazy underneath! Why?
Tell folks too soon that you will be leaving and your replacement may show up sooner than you planned…
Transplanting:
Enjoy the empty spaces on your calendar when TRANSPLANTING. Go slow. This is information gathering/ networking time not the kick start campaign for volunteer of the year! For the first 3 months you are new in town, shop around. Let folks welcome you, taste all the free samples but do not commit to or sign up for anything that lasts longer than a day!
Blooming:
BLOOMING where you are planted is a choice.
You can live a life of mediocrity or you can be extraordinary!
You can just survive or you can grow and thrive.
Don’t let weeds grow around your dreams!
Start by getting out of bed earlier and beginning your day with a “This is gonna be a good, good day” mindset instead of an “Excuse me – are you talking to me before I’ve had my first cup of coffee?” attitude.
