What Do You Really Want?

Quicklyin one sentence, what do you want most out of life?

To be happy?
Have a healthy family?
Have a career you like that pays well?
Something else?

Those are pretty run-of-the-mill responses, not very specific, and don’t carry much weight when it comes to living life on purpose.

If you had more time would your responses be more like:

To love and be loved?
Find fulfillment in the work I do?
To die knowing I made a difference?
Something else?

Not sure how you would respond? Try giving these questions some thought:

1. Based on my present, daily routines and actions, where can I expect to be in five years?
2. What am I willing to work, plan, sacrifice and suffer for?
3. How long am I going to let what I want in the moment keep me from what I ultimately want?

Now go back and answer the question: What do you want most out of life?

Write this on an index card and keep it on your bathroom mirror.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23

Your life is happening here, right now. It is in your daily routine, the silent conversations with yourself, in how you treat others. The sum of this is what will determine your destiny.” Brandon Burchard

In other news, I’m super excited to reveal my new children’s picture book – Rodeo Mouse—coming out in November.
